A Regina company has been fined more than $19,000 after a fire that injured a worker.

Mobile Propane Services pleaded guilty to one charge under Saskatchewan’s occupational health and safety regulations in Regina provincial court last week.

Charges were laid against the company after a worker was burned by a fire that started while the employee was filling a propane cylinder in October 2013.

It was alleged that the company had failed to make required repairs to a mobile propane distribution truck.

The company was fined $14,000 with a surcharge of $5,600.
