A Regina man is facing weapon and drug charges after he was allegedly seen tapping on the door and window of a home with the handle of a gun.

It’s also alleged that the man showed the gun to two pedestrians on the same street, police said in a news release Tuesday.

The incident happened in the 1400 block of Retallack Street shortly before 2:30 a.m. Monday.

Officers located the man in a business on the corner of Dewdney Avenue and Robinson Street. Police say the man was taken into custody “without much incident.”

William Wayne Starr, 30, of Regina is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and possession of cocaine. Starr made his first court appearance Monday morning.
