A 20-year-old Regina man is facing charges after a violent home invasion in the city's northwest end early Sunday.

Police say a man entered the home in the 200 block of Hodgins Crescent by cutting through the screen of an open window.

The homeowners awoke to find the intruder in their bedroom and an altercation broke out.

A man who owns the home was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a second house was also broken into.

Zade Joseph Morgan Nadon faces several charges, including assault with a weapon and break and enter.

Nadon is also charged with assault and mischief in connection with a separate incident. He is set to appear in court today.
