An 18-year-old man is facing charges in connection with two armed robberies and an attempted holdup in Regina last week.

Joshua Christopher Shore from Montreal Lake, Sask. made his first court appearance Monday.

Shore faces a string of charges, including two counts of robbery with a weapon, possession of stolen property and various firearms offences.

Early last Tuesday, police were called to an attempted armed robbery at a business in the 1900 block of Fleet Street.

Two men, one carrying a firearm, tried to enter the business but the clerk managed to lock the door before they could get inside. Nothing was stolen and no one was injured.

Just minutes later, another armed robbery was reported, this time at a business in the 1700 block of Dewdney Avenue East.

Two men held the clerk at gunpoint and stole cash and cigarettes. No one was injured.

About an hour later, three men robbed a business in the 4200 block of Albert Street at gunpoint. One of the men hit the 24-year-old male clerk in the head. He was taken to hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.
