A Regina Police Service member is facing an assault charge after an incident in December of last year.
Police say the officer assaulted a 25-year-old Saskatoon man during the course of an arrest on the 1100 block of Lindsay Street on Dec. 7, 2016.
Cpl. Colin Magee, a 15-year member of the RPS has been charged with common assault. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Aug. 17.
Cpl. Magee has been placed on administrative duties until the case is resolved.
