Police are seeking information from the public after two bank robberies in Regina on Friday afternoon.

In the first incident, police were dispatched around 3:20 p.m. to a report of a robbery at a bank in the 300 block of Albert Street North.

Police say a male suspect approached an employee and indicated he had a weapon, though no weapon was seen. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as male and about five-foot-ten, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The second incident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. at a bank in the 3800 block of Albert Street.

A man approached an employee and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. It isn’t known whether he was armed.

The suspect in that incident is described as a man in his late 20s, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Police say the robberies were traumatic for the employees affected, but no physical injuries were reported in either incident.

Investigators are looking into the possibility that the two incidents are linked. No suspect has been identified and no one is in custody.
