A 52-year-old Regina woman is facing charges after a three-vehicle crash that left five people injured.

The crash happened at the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Fleet Street around 2 a.m. on April 2.

Police say two vehicles were stopped at a red light in the eastbound lanes of Dewdney Avenue when a third vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed rear-ended the second vehicle.

The impact of the collision propelled the second vehicle into the first vehicle, causing the first vehicle to roll onto its roof, police said.

The occupants of all three vehicles were injured, including the driver of the third vehicle, who has been charged in the crash.

Muriel Janice Buffalo, 52, of Regina faces 15 charges, including five counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, five counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and five counts of criminal negligence in operation of a motor vehicle.

Buffalo was arrested Wednesday and has been released from custody. She is scheduled to appear in court July 12.
