The Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired star defensive end Odell Willis in a trade with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The Riders secured Willis and a conditional fifth round draft pick in 2013, in exchange for second- and fourth-round picks in the upcoming 2012 CFL Draft, as well as a conditional draft pick in 2013.

"Odell is arguably the best pass-rusher in the CFL," said Riders general manager Brendan Taman said in a release.

"I'm very confident he significantly upgrades our club on the defensive side of the football."

Willis signed with the Calgary Stampeders as a free agent in 2009. The 27-year-old Mississippi native was picked by the Blue Bombers in a trade midway through the 2009 season.

The Riders also announced import linebacker Darnell Bing and import defensive end Chris Ellis have both inked contracts with the Green and White.

Ellis spent three seasons with the Buffalo Bills after being picked in the third round of the 2008 NFL draft. The 27-year-old former Virginia Tech defensive end also spent part of the 2010 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Bing was the Oakland Raiders' fourth round draft pick in 2006. The 27-year-old former University of Southern California linebacker also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, the New York Jets, the Detroit Lions and the Houston Texans.
