The Saskatchewan Roughriders have re-signed offensive lineman Chris Best and defensive lineman Dylan Ainsworth.

Best is entering his 10th season with the Riders. He was set to become a free agent Tuesday when the team extended his contract through the 2017 season.

The 32-year-old Calgary native has appeared in 114 career regular-season games with Saskatchewan and started in 94 of them. He also played in three Grey Cup games, winning in 2007 and 2013.

Ainsworth is returning for a third season with the Riders. The 23-year-old free agent recorded 29 special teams tackles in 35 regular-season games during his first two seasons with Saskatchewan.

Last season, Ainsworth had 12 special teams tackles in 17 regular-season games, and was the Riders’ nominee for most outstanding special teams player.

Saskatchewan also signed defensive back Graig Newman and receivers John Chiles and Jeremy Kelley on Tuesday.
