The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed the quarterback known as “Air Canada”.

Brandon Bridge was released by the Montreal Alouettes last week after reportedly being asked to take a pay cut.

The 24-year-old pivot is in his second CFL season after being drafted by Montreal in the fourth round of the 2015 entry draft. Bridge dressed for 11 regular season games last season, completing 26 of his 40 passes for 282 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while rushing for 59 yards on 18 carries.

The University of Alabama quarterback made his debut on Nov. 8, 2015, becoming the first Canadian QB to start in the CFL since 1995.

As per club policy, terms of the deal were not released.
