Several streets will be closed near Mosaic Stadium on Saturday afternoon for the first Rider pre-season game of the season.

Police say the 1500, 1600 and 1700 blocks of Elphinstone Street will be blocked starting at 3:30 p.m. Access will be limited to buses and local traffic, and police say residents may need to provide proof of address to access the area.

Traffic will be blocked at Elphinstone Street and Ninth Avenue, 10th Avenue, North Railway Street, and Saskatchewan Drive. Additionally, motorists won’t be able to access Princess Street and Ninth Avenue, and Argyle Street and Ninth Avenue. Regina police say there will be more officers in the area to help manage the amount of vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and to ensure safety for people going to the game.

The City of Regina is offering free transit to and from the game with a ticket.
