REGINA - The Saskatchewan Roughriders added a pair of quarterbacks to the back-up quarterback battle on Saturday.

General manager Chris Jones signed G.J. Kinne, who spent parts of the last four seasons in the National Football League. He originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets in 2012 before moving on to the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad, then the New York GIants practice roster.  The 27-year-old played three seasons for the University of Tulsa (NCAA) where he completed 732 of 1195 passes for 9472 yards and 81 touchdowns in 38 games.

Bryant Moniz comes to the Riders after two seasons with the Calgary Stampeders. The 27-year-old dressed, as a back-up, in all 36 regular season games, but saw limited action. Moniz completed 2 of 4 passes for 29 yards and a single touchdown.

Moniz rushed for 98 yards on 35 attempts for six touchdowns in short-yardage situations for the Stamps. The 3rd year pro is a graduate of the University of Hawaii and is a Grey Cup Champion.

Both Quarterbacks were released by the Calgary Stampeders in training camp and are expected to join the Riders for practice on Sunday.
