Newfoundland Liberal MP Judy Foote is accusing a Saskatchewan Tory MP of promoting the notion that young people should carry guns.
Foote says Garry Breitkreuz told some Ottawa high school students earlier this month that Canadians -- particularly girls -- should carry guns to protect themselves.
Foote raised the issue in the Commons after receiving a letter of complaint from the mother of one of the students.
Breitkreuz says Foote's allegation is without foundation and he wants an apology.
