Statistics Canada says average weekly earnings dropped 1.2 per cent in Saskatchewan in September compared to the previous month.

Non-farm payroll employees in the province took home an average of $928.14 a week during the month, down from $938.97 in August. That's the biggest drop among the provinces.

However, on a year-over-year basis, earnings increased by 2.6 per cent.

Nationally, average weekly earnings were $902.29, down half a per cent from the previous month.
