Statistics Canada says Saskatchewan had the fastest employment growth in the country last month.
The province’s economy created 4,600 jobs in August, up 3.6 per cent from a year earlier.
Saskatchewan was tied with Alberta for the lowest jobless rate at 4.4 per cent.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Regina was 4.2 per cent, and in Saskatoon it was 5.3 per cent.
