The Saskatchewan government says wait times for surgery continued to fall last November.

The latest statistics show about 300 fewer people had to wait more than six months for surgery compared to October 2012.

Since November 2007, the number of people waiting more than half a year for surgery has dropped 60 per cent to 4,271.

A total of 54,853 had been performed as of the end of November 2012.

The government has set a goal of reducing wait times for surgery to three months or less by April 2014.
