The province’s first homicide of 2013 took place in Saskatoon.
A 28-year-old man died after being was found with multiple stab wounds on the ground in the 100 block of Avenue O South early Tuesday.
Police and MD Ambulance arrived at the scene shortly after 12:30 a.m. The man was transferred to Royal University Hospital where he died.
The police street gang unit was helping in the investigation, but police said no gang affiliation has been found.
The man’s name has not been released. The matter is currently under investigation.
