Minimum-wage workers in Saskatchewan are getting a 24-cent-an-hour raise this fall.

The province says the minimum wage will increase to $10.96 an hour from $10.72 on Oct. 1.

Since 2011, Saskatchewan’s minimum wage has been reviewed annually using an indexation formula based on changes to the consumer price index and the average hourly wage for the previous year.

There are about 49,900 minimum-wage and low-wage earners in Saskatchewan.
