Seven people are facing charges following a two-year police investigation into alleged cheating at the Gold Eagle Casino in North Battleford.

RCMP say one of the accused is a dealer at the casino and the other six were frequent players there. All are from the North Battleford area.

The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) has banned the seven people charged from all of its casinos in the province.

SIGA and Indigenous Gaming Regulators Inc. launched an initial probe and forwarded the information to RCMP.

All seven are charged with cheating at play and theft over $5,000. Their names have not been released.

They are set to make their first court appearances in North Battleford on May 30.
