Saskatchewan's two-year photo radar pilot project comes to an end next week, but the cameras will be staying.

Saskatchewan Government Insurance says it wants more time to decide whether photo radar is effective. Eight cameras are in operation in Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, White City and Martensville.

Photo radar generated more than $20 million in revenue over the span of the two-year pilot project. SGI says the cameras will continue to issue tickets while it assesses the results. It isn’t known when a decision will be made.
