Regina police are investigating a shooting that sent two men to hospital early Thursday morning.

Shortly after 6 a.m., police were called to a house in the 300 block of Cornwall Street North for a report of an injured man.

When police and EMS arrived, they found a man who had sustained serious injuries. A second male victim was located a few blocks away a short time later. Both men remain in hospital.

Police are still holding a scene at the home on Cornwall Street North, and have since released a second scene on the corner of Albert Street and Ninth Avenue North.

While the investigation is in the early stages, police believe there is no further threat to public safety.

Police say investigators are working to identify everyone involved in the shooting and have yet to determine what role they may have played in the incident.
