After nearly five months on the picket line, a strike at a Regina hotel has come to an end.

Employees of the Best Western Seven Oaks Inn had been on strike since December 28, 2015. They decided to strike on December 14, 2015 after their contract expired earlier that month.

Seven Oaks owner and general manager Glenn Weir confirmed Saturday that the strike ended early Friday afternoon. He said the strikers overwhelming accepted the original offer from December 22, 2015.

In February, tensions rose between strikers and hotel management when video surfaced that appeared to show Weir in a dispute with union members.

The hotel workers are members of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. UFCW Local 1400 President Norm Neault, also confirmed Saturday that the strike had ended.

Employees have not yet returned to work. Weir said reinstatement discussions with lawyers will happen on Monday.
