The death of a 39-year-old male in the Canadian Pacific Railway Yard on Dewdney Aveune in Regina is currently under investigation.

At 2:15 am on Saturday, the Regina Police Service responded to a report of an injured male in the railway yard. When police and EMS arrived, they located the body of a male on the property. The male was confirmed deceased.

The coroner and CP Rail officials also attended the scene.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the male was an employee of CP Rail.

The exact details of the death are still being investigated, but preliminary indications are that the victim was fatally injured by train movement in the rail yard.

At this point in the investigation, the death does not appear to be suspicious.

The name of the victim has not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
