Regina police and SWAT members executed high-risk warrants in three homes in the 1000 block of Retallack Street on Friday night.

According to police, the warrants were part of drug enforcement in the city and the houses were subject to searches under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. SWAT members used tactics involving loud noises and explosions in the search. Nearby residents were told by police that the noise was part of their operations, and they were asked to stay inside until the searches were complete.

Police say a number of arrests were made. The investigation is ongoing.
