One of the teens charged in the murder of Hannah Leflar has been denied bail.

The teen is awaiting a second trial after a mistrial was declared in the original proceedings on Nov. 16 after new information came to light during the second day of the trial.

A new trial for the teen has been scheduled for Feb. 6, 2017.

Leflar was found dead in her Regina home in January 2015. The teen, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing first-degree murder charges in connection with her death.

A second teen has already pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in Leflar’s death. He is expected to be sentenced in May of 2017.
