A teenager is on the lam after escaping from the Paul Dojak Youth Centre in Regina on Sunday evening.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the youth is considered a low risk to the public. Ministry spokesperson Drew Wilby would only say the youth is a male under the age of 18.

Wilby wouldn’t give out any further details about the youth, including possible charges he is facing, or where the youth is from, citing provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Regina police have been notified and the investigation into how the teen escaped is ongoing.
