Friends and family of a 16-year-old homicide victim in Regina say he was a “bright” and “vibrant” teenager.

Dozens of people took part in a walk in memory of Darian Moise in the city’s North Central neighbourhood Friday.

Moise was found dead inside a home in the 1200 block of Robinson Street on Sunday. The death has since been ruled a homicide but, so far, no charges have been laid.

The victim’s uncle, Shawn Moise, described him as “very friendly, lovable and respectful to his family.”

“Darian was a 16-year-old kid who had goals to finish school and was a great boy,” he said.

“Darian did not deserve this.”

Another relative of the victim, John Still, said Darian was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
