A 17-year-old boy is in custody after two crashes in downtown Regina Friday night.

Police say officers received a tip just before 9 p.m. about a dangerous driver in the 2000 block of McDonald Street and that moments later another call came in reporting a hit-and-run collision at Broad Street and 11th Avenue.

The second crash occurred just two blocks south, at Broad Street and Victoria Avenue, and was discovered by officers responding to the initial calls.

A southbound driver hit two vehicles, according to police. One of the vehicles was empty, but a man and woman were inside the other vehicle hit. The pair was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver from the southbound vehicle attempted to flee the scene but was arrested, police said.

Details on charges have yet to be released.
