Thirty-two years ago, Terry Fox ran across Canada his Marathon of Hope. Now, every year, there is a celebration to remember one of Canada’s heroes.
Sunday morning in Regina, volunteers walked, biked, ran, and bladed to raise Monday for cancer research for the annual Terry Fox Run.
This year’s event started at the TC Douglas Building with a speech from MP Ralph Gooddale, Mayor Pat Fiacco, and several other media personalities.
Last year in Saskatchewan, nearly $1 million was raised, keeping with Terry Fox’s original goal.
