Memorabilia from Saskatchewan's beloved CFL team will be included in a time capsule marking the 100th anniversary of the province's legislature building.

Kevin Doherty, minister responsible for the Provincial Capital Commission, has released a list of all the items going into the capsule.

The Roughriders football club will be well represented with a team loonie, a stamp and a photo of this year's players.

A photo of the Snowbirds aerobatics team based in Moose Jaw is also going in.

Doherty says the capsule is to be sealed near the end of the year before it is put back inside the legislature's original cornerstone.

Gov. Gen David Johnston was in Regina on Thursday to take part in the building's centennial celebrations.

The time capsule is made out of stainless steel and stands just over half a metre tall.

It has a dome-shaped top to mirror the shape of the dome of the legislature. The names of all current MLAs are inscribed on the sides.

An old time capsule made out of copper was opened last December to mark the building's anniversary. The legislature officially opened in October 1912, although the time capsule was laid in 1909 during construction.
