The driver of a semi-trailer was injured when his truck was hit by a Canadian Pacific Railway freight train near Moose Jaw.

A spokeswoman for the railway says the crash Monday night was at a marked crossing equipped with warning lights and bells on Highway 1.

The force of the collision knocked one empty rail car off of the tracks.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries and no one aboard the train was hurt.

CP Rail says the line has since been reopened.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
