Two people have been charged after police seized drugs believed to have been stolen during recent break-ins at a pair of pharmacies in Regina.

Police found pill bottles containing 11 different types of drugs after searching a home in the 1700 block of Greer Court on Sunday morning. In all, more than 2,800 pills were seized.

The drugs are believed to have been stolen during two break-ins at pharmacies in east Regina on Dec. 3 and Dec. 14.

Michael Ray McIntyre and Zoe Dawn Willis, both 27, of Regina each face 11 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

McIntyre is also charged with several other offences, including three counts of break, enter and commit theft. One of those charges stems from an Oct. 22 break-in at a gas station convenience store, in which some merchandise was stolen.

McIntyre and Willis made their first court appearance Monday morning.
