Police were called to the 3700 block of East Cormorant Drive just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday after receiving information about an attempted assault with a weapon on a man.

The suspects fled in a vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.

Around 9 p.m., officers spotted the suspect vehicle driving in the 1300 block of Rae Street. Police executed a high-risk vehicle stop with members of the patrol, canine and street crimes units.

Four people inside the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. Police say a blunt weapon was found in the vehicle. A 32-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were charged.
