Two people are facing charges after a man was stabbed and a woman assaulted at a home on an east-central Saskatchewan First Nation.

RCMP were called Wednesday around 11 p.m. to a report of a stabbing on the Keeseekoose First Nation.

When officers and EMS arrived, they found a man with significant stab wounds and a woman who had been assaulted.

Both were taken to hospital. The man was treated for several stab wounds and the woman received treatment for minor injuries.

Mounties later arrested a man and a woman at a different home.

Thirty-year-old Tyson Keshane and 28-year-old Melissa Cote are charged with numerous offences including armed robbery, aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and break and enter in relation to the incident.

Both accused are from the Keeseekoose First Nation. They were set to appear in Yorkton provincial court Friday.
