Two people are facing drug charges after Regina police, including a SWAT team, searched a business in the city.

Police carried out a search warrant at the business, located in the 1900 block of Rupert Street, on Thursday.

A SWAT team and plainclothes officers were called to the scene because weapons were potentially present, police said in a news release Friday.

Four people exited the building without incident and two of them – a 46-year-old man and 39-year-old woman – were charged.

Gregory Troy Hamilton and Julie Michelle Langley, both from Regina, each face charges including drug possession.

Hamilton appeared in a Regina courtroom Friday morning and Langley is scheduled to appear in court April 25.
