Two detached garages in the 2000 block of Broder Street are considered total losses after an early morning blaze Saturday.
Fire crews were called around 5:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found two garages in the back alley fully involved in the fire. According to the fire department, three cars, including at least one inside a garage, were also damaged. One home and two neighbouring garages suffered minor heat damage from the fire.
No one was injured in the fire and residents have been able to get back into their homes.
The cause is still under investigation. There is no word yet on the cost of the damage.
