Two people were airlifted to hospital after a single-vehicle rollover on the Trans-Canada Highway in southwestern Saskatchewan.

RCMP and STARS air ambulance were called to the scene on Highway 1 west of the Rural Municipality of Piapot on Monday evening.

The rollover crash involved a pickup truck, which came to rest on its roof in the centre ditch of the highway.

A 20-year-old Alberta man was transported by STARS to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, while another 20-year-old Alberta man was airlifted to Regina General Hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
