Two Saskatchewan residents are among the latest appointees to the Order of Canada.

Former finance minister Janice MacKinnon and paralympian Arnold Boldt, both from Saskatoon, were announced along with 89 other recipients Sunday.

MacKinnon is being bestowed with the honour for her contributions to the advancement of public policy at the provincial and national levels, as an author, politician and scholar.

Boldt is being recognized for his achievements in sport and for his contributions as a role model for people with disabilities.

The two will receive their medals at an upcoming ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
