Regina police are looking for two suspects in a robbery and carjacking Wednesday night.

A man was stopped at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Scarth Street just before 10 a.m. when two men in another vehicle got out and approached him.

Police say the men, one of whom was carrying a knife, pulled the driver out of his car. The victim was assaulted and his cell phone was stolen.

One of the men took off in the victim’s vehicle and the other fled in a dark-coloured sedan.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of an injury to his hand. Police later recovered the stolen vehicle.

The first suspect is described as an Aboriginal man, less than six feet tall, in his early twenties. The other is also Aboriginal, taller and heavier than the first suspect and was wearing a scarf over his face.

Anyone with information that could help in the investigation is asked to contact Regina police or Crime Stoppers.
