The City of Regina has announced that votes for Terry Hincks on Oct. 26 will not be counted.
The longtime councilor passed away on Friday night after a battle with cancer.
It’s too late to remove Hincks’ name from the ballot with less than 10 days to go until the election, as mail-in ballots have already gone out to residents in hospital, or those who will be out of town on Oct. 26.
The candidate other than Terry Hincks with the most votes will be deemed elected.
