REGINA - Dreams came true on Friday night for Regina Pats forward Sam Steel and Moose Jaw Warriors forward Brett Howden.

Steel, who had 23 goals, 70 points in 72 games last season for the Pats was chosen 30th overall by the Anaheim Ducks.

Howden put up 24 goals and 64 points for the Moose Jaw Warriors. He's the 27th overall pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning. He now joins Warriors Captain and teammate Brayden Point in Tampa.  Howden's brother Quinton, also a former Warrior, is a member of the Lightning's state rival in the Florida Panthers.  Howden's teammate Noah Gregor landed in San Jose with the Sharks in the 4th round.

Lloydminster, SK native and Brandon Wheat Kings defenceman Kale Clague went 51st overall to the LA Kings.

Regina Pats star and WHL scoring Champion Adam Brooks waited a little while longer, going to the Toronto Maple Leafs at the start of the 4th round.
