Saskatchewan's Water Authority will release larger volumes of water next week from the Rafferty and Alameda reservoirs.
Officials say the release is necessary because of higher run-off from rivers.
The Authority says the water release will also help protect the watersheds from spring flooding.
The water release will mean levels of the Rafferty, Alameda and Boundary reservoirs will drop significantly until the spring.
