Wind warnings issued in southwest Sask.

Wind warnings have been issued for some areas of southwestern Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada says strong wind gusts of over 90 kilometres an hour are expected later Wednesday afternoon and into the evening as a cold front pushes through the region.

Rain showers changing to flurries are expected in affected areas, and visibility may be reduced at times.

The agency warns that the high winds could damage buildings and cause falling trees and branches.
