A rap battle is brewing on the prairies. After a snowfall on Tuesday, Kindersley RCMP sent out a press release encouraging people to drive safely in the form of a rap, changing the words of Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby”.

The post got a lot of attention from media and viewers, and by Wednesday, the Edmonton Police Service responded, posting their own rap, changing the words to the Fresh Prince of Belair theme song.

CTV Regina sportscaster Darrell Romuld tweeted both raps at the Regina Police, challenging them to do their own, and they responded with their own cold weather version of Uptown Funk.

It’s not the first time a Saskatchewan police department has gotten attention on social media with a clever release. Back in September, Saskatchewan RCMP got thousands of shares when they made a Facebook post promising to bring “chips, salsa, and possibly charges”, to an underage drinking party in Lumsden.
