A 65-year-old woman has died in hospital after a mobile home fire in Moose Jaw.
Emergency crews were called to a home at the Trans Canada Trailer Court on Caribou St. East around 2:30 p.m. Monday.
A woman was pulled from the burning home and flown by STARS air ambulance to Regina General Hospital, where she later died of her injuries. Her name hasn’t been released.
Neighbours worked to put out the fire until fire crews arrived, and evacuated the surrounding homes.
Fire officials say an investigation has found that the fire was likely caused by a buildup of sewer gas, which was ignited by an electric arc in a light switch.
