Woman killed after single-vehicle collision near Abernethy

A 70-year-old woman is dead following a single-vehicle collision Sunday morning.

At 9:15 a.m., RCMP say they were called to Highway 22 just north of Abernethy.

Mounties say the vehicle left the road, entered the ditch and rolled. The woman was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead.

The vehicle also caught fire and was destroyed.

RCMP say the collision is still under investigation.
