A Pilot Butte woman has been charged with aggravated assault after a child was injured at a daycare.

The 14-month-old girl was in the care of an unlicensed daycare at a Pilot Butte home when she was taken to hospital in Regina on Nov. 12, 2015 with life-threatening injuries. Preliminary investigation showed that the girl’s injuries were not accidental.

The victim is still receiving medical care two and a half months later.

Terrie Lynn Olson has now been charged with one count of aggravated assault.

She has been released on bail on the condition that she doesn’t have any contact with the victim, or work in a place that puts her in a position of trust or authority of any person under the age of 16.

Olson is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
