Aboriginal remains that were found last month on the shores of Moosomin Lake and at a construction site in Oxbow will be sent to a special burial ground operated by the Saskatchewan government.
The historic remains of nearly 200 unidentified aboriginals have been buried at the undisclosed site along the South Saskatchewan River since 1998.
The government set aside the four-hectare parcel of Crown land to re-inter remains that were lying on museum and university shelves, unearthed during construction or discovered due to land erosion.
The remains that were found at Moosomin Lake are believed to be between 500 and 1,000 years old
