Alcohol and speed are suspected factors in a rollover crash that left one person dead and two others seriously injured on a First Nation in southeastern Saskatchewan.

Two people were ejected from a car after the vehicle rolled several times on a gravel road on the White Bear First Nation on Monday night.

RCMP say a 17-year-old girl from the White Bear First Nation died in hospital. Her name isn’t being released at the request of her family.

A 22-year-old woman from Stoughton and an 18-year-old woman from the White Bear First Nation were both airlifted to hospital in Regina with serious injuries.

The 18-year-old female driver of the vehicle remains under observation at Arcola Health Centre.

A fourth passenger in the vehicle, a 22-year-old woman from the White Bear First Nation, declined medical help.

Mounties say alcohol and speed are considered factors in the crash and charges are pending.
