Investigators are working to determine the cause of an apartment fire on Saturday evening.
Firefighters were called to the 5200 block of Parliament Avenue just after 6:00 p.m. According to the fire department, the fire began in an electrical room on the main floor. The blaze caused extensive fire and smoke damage to the main floor, and a second floor suite above the electrical room.
The fire department said the blaze was under control within an hour. No one was injured and officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
The building is still under construction and doesn’t have any tenants.
